Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This policy explains what Lazure LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Delaware, United States, stores in your browser when you visit lazure.io, what each item is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with personal information.
1. The short version
Nothing that tracks you is loaded until you say yes. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics code is downloaded at all, so there is nothing to opt out of afterwards. The only thing we store either way is a record of the choice itself, so we do not ask again on every page.
2. Cookies and the other things browsers store
A cookie is a small file a site saves in your browser and sends back on each later request. Browsers also offer localStorage and sessionStorage, which hold data on your device but are not attached to requests. We use both, and this policy covers both. Where an item below is not literally a cookie, the table says so, because the difference is easy to verify and we would rather be precise than tidy.
3. Categories we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the site to work at all: keeping a session, balancing load, and blocking abuse. These cannot be switched off, and they are not used to build a profile of you. On the marketing site this category is close to empty. It is our hosting provider's infrastructure rather than anything we set ourselves.
3.2 Preferences
One item: the record of your own cookie decision. It has to be stored somewhere, or the banner would reappear on every page you open.
3.3 Analytics
Product analytics and session replay through PostHog, so we can see which pages are read, where people give up, and what is broken. This category runs only with your consent. Session replay masks all form inputs before anything leaves your browser.
This category also covers Lazure's own website visitor tracking, the same feature our customers run on their sites. It records the pages you view, how far you scroll and how long you stay, the campaign link that brought you here, and files you download. Your IP address is used to work out which company a visit comes from. If you arrived by clicking a link in one of our emails, the visit is linked to you as the recipient of that email. Like PostHog, it is not loaded until you accept.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell personal information and we do not take part in cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. What is actually stored
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
lazure_cookie_consent | localStorage | Preferences | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, and the version of this policy you were shown. | 365 days |
ph_<project>_posthog | Cookie and localStorage | Analytics | PostHog's own identifier for a browser, so repeat visits are counted as one person rather than many. Set only after you accept. | 365 days |
| PostHog session and replay keys | sessionStorage | Analytics | Ties the pages viewed in a single visit together, and buffers session replay. Set only after you accept. | Until the tab is closed |
string_visitor_id | localStorage | Analytics | Lazure visitor tracking's identifier for a browser, so repeat visits are counted as one visitor. Set only after you accept. | Until you decline or clear it |
string_consent | localStorage | Analytics | Tells Lazure visitor tracking that you accepted here, so it never shows a banner of its own. Set only after you accept. | Until you decline or clear it |
str_ft_utm_*, str_ft_landing_url | Cookie | Analytics | The campaign link and page that first brought you to the site. Set only after you accept. | 365 days |
str_lt_utm_*, str_lt_landing_url | Cookie | Analytics | The campaign link and page of your most recent visit. Set only after you accept. | 30 days |
string_session, string_identity_token | sessionStorage | Analytics | Ties the pages of a single visit together, and links a visit to an email of ours you clicked. Set only after you accept. | Until the tab is closed |
Analytics requests are sent to /ingest on our own domain and forwarded to PostHog from there. That is a first-party path, chosen so that ad blockers and Safari's third-party restrictions do not silently drop part of our traffic. It does not change what is collected, who receives it, or your ability to decline. Lazure's visitor tracking sends its data directly to our own application servers.
5. Embedded forms
Our demo and contact forms are built with Lazure's own forms product and load inside a frame from our application servers. Anything stored there is set under that domain, not this one. Submitting one of those forms sends what you typed to us. Section 5 of our Privacy Policy explains how we work with the service providers involved in running Lazure.
6. Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page, or here: . That clears the stored decision and brings the banner back, so you can choose again.
Declining after having accepted also stops the analytics already loaded in that tab and discards the identifier tied to you. You can additionally block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which works whatever we do. Blocking strictly necessary items may break parts of the site.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a decision to decline. Analytics is not loaded and the banner does not appear.
7. How long your choice lasts
A decision is remembered for 365 days. After that the banner returns so the choice is a current one rather than something you agreed to years ago. We also ask again if this policy changes in a way that materially affects what is stored.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the most recent revision. Material changes reset consent, as described above.
9. Contact
Questions about anything on this page go to contact@lazure.io.
